PIVA forever

Like the tide, it's time for me to move out once again and brave the wilds of Michigan. I'm leaving my native land for adventures in the unknown; adventures that will test my courage and stamina and walking abilities. Yes, the time has come for......public transportation.

what does PIVA stand for? (I'm feeling dorky for asking this)

PIVA (pee-vuh) stands for Primrose International Viola Archive. Or, if you're German, it means beer (actually spelled Piwa but pronounced the same). No need to feel dorky--I usually don't talk about my acronyms without being asked.

Oops. Further investigation reveals that it doesn't actually mean beer (that would be Bier). Maybe it's a kind of beer? My boss at the library thought the beer thing was so funny, especially at BYU, and I never thought to check its veracity. Maybe Dan can help me out if he ever reads this.
